Eaton's Neck Fire Department Mourns the Loss of Ex-Chief Andrew J. Mastronardi

On March 28, 2016, the Eaton's Neck Fire Department laid to rest Ex-Chief Andrew J. Mastronardi. A service was held at St. Gerard Majella RC Church in Terryville. The Westhampton Beach Fire Department and the Terryville Fire Department provided a firematic arch to honor the family and friends who knew Chief Mastronardi.

Eaton's Neck Fire Department Members Start Construction on Memorial Garden

Members of the Eaton's Neck Fire Department assembled on Saturday, March 5 to start construction of a new memorial garden to be located at the base of the Department's new flagpole. The project is being spearheaded by Ex-Chief Jerry Hehir with technical leadership being provided by Ex-Chief Kevin O'Neill. The garden will be named in memory of Chief Kevin Brandon and will be dedicated to all members who have answered their last alarm. Special thanks to George Jensen of Northport, a retired FDNY firefighter, for donating his time and equipment.

Eaton's Neck Firefighter Honored for Longtime Service

The chief officers of the Eaton’s Neck Fire Department recently presented a plaque from the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York to longtime volunteer firefighter Roy Beach, age 89, in recognition for over 50 years in the volunteer fire service. Beach served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and took part in the Normandy landings on D-Day. He has been a member of the Eaton's Neck Fire Department for 43 years, where he served for 30 years as Fire Commissioner.

The Eaton's Neck Fire Department recently purchased and placed into service a LUCAS 2 Chest Compression System from Physio-Control, Inc. The portable, easy-to-use device delivers automated, guidelines-consistent chest compressions to improve blood flow in victims of cardiac arrest. With LUCAS, automated compressions are delivered consistently and continuously, helping to maintain good circulation to the patient during transport to the hospital.
